Q of the week

Q: How Do You Get Shingles?

Get the Answer:

Prototype devices

It is recognized that a manufacturer may wish to submit a small number  of "prototype models" of a device to clinical investigation in order to assess safety and/or performance; and those such prototypes may need to undergo a number of changes prior to large-scale production.

Dear All,

Swine flu in humans is caused by H1N1 virus.

The infection spreads by air-borne droplet infection ie., when an infected person coughs or sneezes in to open air, the virus which is present in the secretions will be potent to cause the infection if a healthy person comes in contact with the secretions or inhales or injects it.

It takes nearly 1 to 4 days to develop the symptoms of swine flu after exposure.

Symptoms to watch out:

Fever above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cough.
Cold or running nose.
Moderate to severe body aches and headache.
Mild to moderate vomiting.

WHO states the danger zone of the disease is only mild to moderate.  No need to panic but prevent the spread of the disease.

PCR is the only test to confirm the presence of H1N1 virus.

Precautions:

Follow coughing or sneezing etiquette:  Even if you forget to say “sorry or pardon me” while sneezing and coughing please do not forget to cover your mouth with a tissue while sneezing or coughing and dispose the tissue safely.  Please do not sake hands without cleaning your hands after sneezing or coughing.
Follow personal hygiene:  Wash your hands thoroughly before eating and regularly.
Please maintain at least a meter distance when conversation with others.

Prevention:

Tamiflu (Available in India) and Relenza (not available in India) are the only antiviral drugs which had effect on swine flu virus.  These had shown some capacities to prevent the onset or at least the severity of the disease.
Some home remedies like taking 2-3 thoroughly cleaned tulasi leaves everyday in the morning can boost the immune system and keeps the throat clear.
I suggest the following 5 dose homeopathic medicine course for one week as preventive for swine flu:
First take Bryonia 1M.  Dosage:  This medicine should be taken as 3 pills once daily for 3 days.  After finishing the three doses you should leave a gap of one day.
Later take Gelsemium 200.  Dosage:  This medicine should be taken as 3 pills once daily only for one day.  After finishing this fourth dose you should leave a gap of one day.
Later take Arsenic Album 1M.  Dosage:  This medicine should be taken as 3 pills daily once for only one day.  This is the last and the fifth dose.

For children below 5 years give only Bryonia 1M and Gelsemium 200 as suggested above.

Another precaution:  Please do not eat or drink anything (except water) 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after taking the homeopathic medicine.

Please ensure that you are not taking any other homeopathic medicines along with the above course.

Final Advice and Caution:  Please be more sensible and isolate your self by taking rest at home when you feel any of the above symptomatology and not mingle with other people.  This helps in stopping the spread of the disease.  Please note that the more the virus spreads the stronger it gets into mutation and becomes harder to treat.  This means that the more it spreads the contacted newer person may have more severe symptoms.

Prevention is always better than cure.

Regards
